What happens when I am the First Minter?

Disclaimer: As of August 7th, 2024, the First Minter feature is no longer available for new posts on Zora. However, any existing editions with the first minter rewards available will continue to function as outlined below.

DISCLAIMER: The first minter reward does NOT apply to cross-chain mints. If you do this then you will NOT receive the reward.

You MUST mint using ETH on the same network as the collection.

If you see "MintFirst" when you go to mint from a collection, you have the opportunity to bring another creator's collection onchain and earn rewards at the same time.

First Minters will receive a portion of the Mint Fee for the NFT (the "First Minter Reward") for finding great editions and bringing them onchain for the world to mint. This is a part of the Rewards offered on Zora smart contracts. Specifically, First Minters shall receive a 0.000111 ETH mint fee for each NFT minted from an edition they were the First Minter for.
