Cointags
Cointags lets you connect with onchain communities by tagging your posts with their coins. It's a fun way to show which communities you're part of, making your content more discoverable to others who share your interests and participating in that community ecosystem all on Zora.
How do Cointags Work:
When you add a Cointag to your post, you directly connect your content and that coin's community. This connection works in two ways:
First, it helps surface your content to community members who care about that coin.
This makes it easier for like-minded creators and collectors to discover and engage with your work.
Second, it creates an automatic reward-sharing system that benefits the whole community.
When someone mints your tagged post, the Creator Rewards (✧55 Sparks) is split:
80% (✧44 Sparks) goes to the creator of the post
20% (✧11 Sparks) is taken by the smart contract to reduce spam-tagging.
This portion of the Creator Rewards is directed to automatically buy the tagged coin for instant burning, which aligns the creator’s support with the benefit of the tagged coin's ecosystem.

How to Add a Cointag to Your Post:
Upload your desired piece of media on the zora.co/create page
Click on the "Add Cointags" button
Select the tag you wish to tag your post with
Continue with your usual create process
**NOTE**: You can only add one Cointag per post, so choose the coin that best represents your content's community.

You can add one Cointag per post.
- Does adding a Cointag affect my other rewards?
No, cointags only affect the Creator Rewards portion (✧55 Sparks per mint). All other protocol rewards remain unchanged. You can learn more about how rewards work on Zora in our “Understanding Rewards on Zora” support article here: (LINK)
- What networks are Cointags supported on?
Cointags are currently available for community coins on Base and Zora Network.
**NOTE**: Please ensure that your community’s coin is deployed on Base OR Zora Network.
