What has changed on Zora?

Edited

With the Coins upgrade, we’ve made significant changes to streamline and improve the Zora experience.

Here's everything you need to know about what's new, what's changing, and what's coming soon.

What's new?

Every post on Zora is now an instantly tradeable coin. Now, you can buy and sell coins quickly on a desktop and in the Zora app.

With the upgrade to coins:

What’s changing?

Coins make the Zora experience easy, rewarding, and more fun for everyone. As part of this update, the following changes are being made:

Network Changes

  • New posts are coins on Base. Posting on Zora taps you into a network of millions of users with more activity and deeper liquidity. Previously, we supported Arbitrum, Optimism, Ethereum Mainnet, and Zora Network.

  • Existing legacy 1155 posts on other networks will remain collectable. However, posts priced in non-ETH tokens will no longer be available to collect with this update.

  • You can still pay using any supported network when trading Coins or collecting legacy 1155 posts.

Deprecated Features

  • The Canvas tool has been removed from our website but is still available to use in the Zora app.

  • Uploads of PDF, audio/MP3, and 3D files are no longer supported. If you are uploading audio, we recommend using MP4 files instead.

  • Cointags are no longer available.

  • Custom mint start times are now disabled; all posts will be available to trade immediately

  • Airdropping tokens is no longer available.

What's coming soon?

While we are streamlining features to enhance our platform, we remain dedicated to reintroducing key functionalities in a refreshed and improved form.

  • Custom payout addresses

  • Split payment support

  • Double tap to collect on the app
