Understanding bridging on the Zora Network

Updated over a week ago

What are native and third-party bridging?

Native bridges are integrated into the relevant network and are maintained by that network, providing secure and efficient transfers between connected blockchains. The bridge available on Zora.energy is a native bridge for Zora Network.

Third-party bridges, developed by external entities, offer flexibility and cater to specific use cases. They can also be a faster option when bridging between networks in exchange for fees. However, they carry their own risk, as you need to rely on their service and security, trusting the provider or their smart contracts with your ETH. We strongly recommend you always research before using a third-party bridge.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to only bridge assets supported by the bridge you select! Bridging unsupported assets could potentially result in the loss of those assets.
