How do I bridge back my ETH from Zora Network?

There are two ways to withdraw your ETH from Zora Network to Ethererum using the official bridge.zora.energy. Using the native “WITHDRAW” method takes ~ 7 Days while the “INSTANT WITHDRAW” method takes ~1 minute.

Skip ahead to our step-by-step guides:

** REMINDER: The “INSTANT WITHDRAW” method uses a third-party bridge operated by Reservoir, an independent service provider that is integrated for your convenience. Zora is not responsible for the operation of this bridge. By proceeding, you acknowledge that Zora is not responsible for any loss involving this tool. **

1. Zora Instant Withdraw

This withdrawal process will take ~1 minute to complete, thanks to the use of a third-party bridge operated by Reservoir. This process will also only take ONE transaction.

**REMINDER: Zora is not responsible for the operation of this bridge. By proceeding, you acknowledge that Zora is not responsible for any loss involving this tool.**

  1. Connect your Wallet to the Zora Network native bridge by navigating to the bridge dashboard. Your Wallet may prompt you to switch to the Zora Network.

  2. Select the 'INSTANT WITHDRAW’ tab.

  3. Above your balance, you can enter the amount you want to withdraw from Zora Network back to Ethereum Mainnet.

  4. Select ‘Withdraw’ to set the amount of ETH you would like to withdraw from the Zora Network. This will prompt you to review your withdrawal.

  5. Review and accept the provided disclosures by checking “I UNDERSTAND AND WISH TO CONTINUE”.

  6. Select ‘Initiate Withdrawal’ and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

SUCCESS! Your ETH has been withdrawn. Enjoy!

2. Zora Native Bridge Withdraw

This withdrawal process will take ~7 Days to complete in order to allow sufficient time for network verifiers to detect potential errors or fraud on Zora Network. Remember, once you initiate your withdrawal, you CANNOT exit or cancel it.

For this method, you MUST sign THREE transactions:

  1. INITIATE: An L2 transaction that initiates the transaction, priced the same as any other transaction made on Zora Network and takes ~1 hour.

  2. PROVE: Once your transaction is published, you “prove” or confirm your withdrawal action on L1. This maximizes the secure transfer of your funds back to Mainnet and begins the actual withdrawal process, which takes ~7 days.

  3. CLAIM: An L1 transaction that finalizes the transaction. This transaction can only be submitted after the transaction challenge period (7 days on mainnet) has passed.

The total cost of a withdrawal from Zora Network is the combined cost of these three transactions. The PROVE and CLAIM transaction fees are typically significantly higher than the INITIATE transaction.

** WARNING: DO NOT SEND OR WITHDRAW ETH DIRECTLY FROM ZORA NETWORK TO A GNOSIS MULTISIG WALLET. ZORA NETWORK IS NOT YET SUPPORTED BY GNOSIS MULTISIGS. DOING SO MAY RESULT IN THE PERMANENT LOSS OF SUCH FUNDS. Learn More **
